In this case, I have used the word “lawyer” to refer to someone who practices law (which she did not). In this example, “the lawyer” is replaced by “my law office”, “one” is replaced by “my law firm”, and “my” is replaced by “my law school”.
The above example is a perfect legal example in a sentence because it provides context. It shows how important the example is and why I would want to use it in explaining something to someone. However, many people tend to leave out this important aspect of an explanation. They will often just use a simple phrase without any emphasis on the importance of the example or the idea behind it.
“If you want to take my law exam, then you need to study hard.” This example could be used in any situation where the importance of the example is clear. For example, if you are just starting out in law, then it doesn’t matter as much which textbooks you use. But if you are already a full-time student, then it is important that you buy the best textbooks you can afford. The same goes for if you are trying to take my law exam.
Unfortunately, most people do not realize the importance of context when they use example statements. Sometimes it is completely innocent to leave such a statement out. Other times, the writer is trying to make a point and uses the example sparingly, if at all. If you cannot determine whether or not you should include such an example, it probably isn’t necessary.
But when you must use example sentences in writing, there are a few things you should remember. One thing to be careful of is using the example too much. If you have to repeat it so that you can explain something to someone, the reader may get the idea that you are repeating what you have already said before. So you really do need to be sure that you are actually giving an example rather than repeating yourself. A better way to phrase this would be “In order to take my law class, I had to attend a legal conference with a number of other students who were also taking the same course.”
Another important factor to keep in mind when using example sentences in a sentence is to use them sparingly. A good rule of thumb is that you use an example only once every 100 words, but don’t use it more than that. If you use an example every five words, then it is simply too much. Some writers seem to love putting examples in every sentence. While that can be effective, it can also take away from your writing and leave readers confused as to what you are trying to say.
You need to be able to describe the example with relative ease, and at the same time to explain what it is that you are doing. To do this, you will need to know the specific legal issue that you are talking about. By knowing that, you can use the example to show how the issue applies to your situation. By clearly showing what your example is talking about, you can make the rest of the sentence flow naturally, which makes a legal example of an even more powerful tool when it comes to writing legal documents.
